When ever Kelly and I go anywhere with all four kids at the same time; we get asked alot of questions. The list of questions usually is.
Are they natural?
Did you have help?
Twins huh? . . . oh a third . . . I'm sorry (not really a question)
Are you super tired?
Then thee most asked question is, "How do you do it?"
Our reply is mostly . . . "Umm . . . we just do." I haven't really come up for a good answer to that one. So it has made me stop to think. How do we take care of three kids the same age and an active four year old brother.
First we try to maintain our sanity, to do that everything is one a very strict schedual, ie everyone gets fed at a certain time and everyone at the same time. the babies all take naps at the same time, eat at the same time, bath at the same time and even fill their diapers at the same time.
Second, all four of the kids sleep through the night (that is a big one).
Third, on baby items we just always have three of about everything. ie, high chairs, cribs, walkers and car seats.
Forth, on clothing, (we are very lucky). We saved all of Todds clothing from when he was smaller. We also recieved alot of hand-me-down clothing from relatives and friends.
Then lastly, we just take it one day at a time.
Our kids are so awesome, and we got so lucky that none of the babies developed any issues from being born so early.
To answer the other questions, I usually say, "Have you ever heard of a child that is not natural. Yes our family helps out when ever they are able/these babies were made the same way any baby was made. No one is identical. and Yes we are very tired, but happy."
